Costume idea...

On a different note,

I found it almost fitting to speak of attire on this day of Halloween! BOO! Hehehe... You see, we have the ability to put on a facade in life... We can be happy or sad, we can be uplifting or depressing, and we can be sacrificial or selfish! Let's be honest, we all have craziness brewing inside, but the reflection we have in the world around us carries weight!
I was speaking to my wife last night, thinking back to days past when I lived in a different place, and for sure was in a different place mentally, emotionally & spiritually. I told her how different of a person I was, almost hard to fathom. So, my social capital, my personal influence has been transformed. No longer do I seek the validation of others for my self worth, but look to provide Love to those around me. It is a daily choice I must make to begin the process of even being able to do as such. I am human, ergo I fall prey to emotions which affect my daily walk. So, If I do not choose to "put on a happy face", then realistically I won't!
Just like dressing in a costume, I must choose to do so. We must choose who we want to be... daily! Even hourly! We are faulty, carnal, and selfish by nature, so we definitely need to make the choice to go against that at times in order to be a positive, enriching,  and inspiring influence to our surroundings! It's funny, cause even as I write this part of me feels a lil like I'm promoting a sort of fake-ness. But that's not it at all... It is a realization of our selfish nature, and that for us to change our lives, our world, and our path we must make a conscious decision!
Think about how much effort goes in to choosing a Halloween costume, and the time, preparation and effort to pull off an incredible idea. You made a choice, well thought out, and had to put it into motion! Well, choosing a new path in life will start off by being an effort... but the more You choose to live a certain way, the more it becomes the norm. Shouldn't we choose and desire to be a positive influence in the world we live? Happy Halloween, I hope it is a fun day for all who participate.. and if You don't, that's great too! Enjoy life by choosing the kind of person You want to be! Allow God to lead and transform, and wake up each day with a purposeful mindset! Much Love!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Identity...

On a different note,

I remember being very small, and watching my mother take out her sketch pad and create. She would draw the most amazing things, and she was always quick to share her Love of art. We'd get art supplies at Christmas,  and be encouraged to create during down times (Not watching TV...LOL). It didn't take long for my brother and I to begin expressing ourselves. Whether we were building a go-karts, cabins, drawing or coloring... We seemed to be expressing/creating quite often.
As we venture this life, much time is spent on defining and identifying who we truly are. Seems to be very hard for some people to even get to that point. As you've seen in my writing, I encourage people to begin Now if they haven't already. And to be Ok with stepping out side the box and taking a leap of faith. I also believe it takes time, and that it is something we'll have to seek out and cultivate. We can all look back at pictures of ourselves and say "Oh My, what was I thinking!"... Well, that is how we learn, grow, and prosper. The sad part are some never even try... as human being we easily fall into complacency and routine, which is not all bad. But if we are not pushing ourselves, and growing by choice we become stagnant. We must seek out the Lord, seek out our path, and discover who we are in Him!
My wife Joy had never picked up a paint brush until she was an adult and was willing to step forth and do something different. Something she knew she had inside her. Now she is an accomplished abstract artist, with many accolades in only a few years of painting. Incredible! Why? Cause she was willing to follow her heart, and try something... even if Art wasn't going to be Her thing, she made an effort! 10 years ago or so I made a choice, out of the blue to join a band... No experience, no training, just a desire! Since then I have invested in my craft to the place I am now. Two examples of people stepping out of the box, investing, putting effort and finding a path that was made for us all along!
You will never know your limits until you push them!! You will never know success until you challenge life! And You will never know fulfillment & Love unless YOU seek out the Lord for your sustenance!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Love of Music...

On a different note,

I have come to place in my life which I not only seek the path created for Me, but desire to seek the path God has for me. And it seems the time I am left in awe when I notice the work He is doing in my life. I see things in motion that were started previously, or that I was unaware of in the moment. I find such peace in knowing I am where He wants me. It's also pretty humerus to stop and see that I am now in the category of being a musician. For some reason, I never thought of myself as such... Just a music lover, who loved to sing!!
For me, I am not one for titles... which has also been a part of my sanctification. I do not need to be called anything, I don't need the entitlement that goes with expecting a name. When I was involved in ministry, it was the same way... I am a servant of the Lord, you do not need to call me by a position name. Shoot, I don't even like labels on my water bottles on stage! LOL
I know things are the working of the Lord when they are contrary to the ways of the world. We have been trained to judge by the titles, hierarchy, social status', and so on... If someone doesn't fit the upper echelon of the social order, they are deemed unworthy or not fit for certain circles. As we know, we are all created equal, everyone has their path and gifts to maneuver. Titles lead to entitlement and segregation... and we all know that typically leads to bad news!
So, for me to be an artist, a creator, a performer, singer, and I guess musician... it is a humbling thing to say the least. I LOVE music, I Love sharing my heart, I Love singing, and so on... that is my expression! That allows me the opportunity to share and infuse LOVE into the world! And I give credit to the Lord, because He brought me here... He continues to lead and drag me along...LOL
I feel so fortunate to be where I am at... music or not, I am blessed beyond measure! My desire is for ALL of us to know this Joy!! To find the path made just for us!! I am thankful to know the source!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Tis the Season...

On a different note,

Tis the beginning of the Holiday season, with lots of festive events, holidays and opportunity to show some Love. It is the time of year which most people have the ability to put aside grudges, think of themselves as part of a body of people, and even put others first! It is an indication, reflection and example of how we should be living year round!
Even though this time of year is marred with marketing ploys, considered more of a fiscal windfall; it does seem to have its affect on peoples hearts. One of the biggest lessons I've learned in my walk, is to seek out intent and the reflection of peoples hearts. So in that, this season provides different opportunities to do so.
Whether it's dressing up on Halloween, or spending the day cooking for family, or giving gifts to one another, it's a decision to step outside of the norm... Dressing up for Halloween doesn't typically constitute worshiping the dead or the devil...LOL... Sorry, but this has always been a funny thought to me. Some people just wanna step outside their box once a year and be someone different... is that really a stretch? There are many ways we can find joy in our life... sometimes it's just congregating and finding fellowship with our friends! Just like a Thanksgiving, as we come together and break bread as a group of family & friends who desire to show a sense of unity and thankfulness. And even thought it has become a money making time, Christmas provides traditions, reflection, and opportunity to express Love to those around us. In credible!!
Now, I could of written of the down side in all this... just like everyone else! But, I choose to find the Love in life... find the God in our midst! His concerns are the reflections of our hearts! The expressing of Love to the body! And keeping Him as #1 in our daily lives!! This season just seems to provide more opportunity!
Take this time and cherish the moment with friends, family and loved ones! And see if we can make these aspects habits for the rest of the year!

Good day & God bless!
Chris

Go Forth...

On a different note,

I've heard the term "waiting on God" many times in my life. I'm not sure that blanket statement is fitting for most of the time during our walk. I do believe there are quiet times, and spans we'll spend in the desert like Jesus did... and there will be times of perseverance and being steadfast in our plights. But even in those times, we shouldn't be stagnant or complacent in our seeking out the Lord.
The Bible speaks of opening the door and allowing Him in, it speaks of stepping out in Faith, stepping out of the boat... Actions for Us to take first in Faith which allow Him to intercede on our behalf. Those that know me, know that I am more of a re-direct kind of guy! hehehe... I figure I will seek out the Lord, give Him the credit, Glory, honor and focus, and move forward allowing Him to lead. Now, as I stated before, there are times I will seek an answer or direction from Him prior to making an absolute final decision. But even in those situations I am researching, praying, seeking and looking for His hand in the situation.
Look at it like this... are you prepared for His movement in your life? Would You be ready if He brought you the very thing You ask for? Being a believer is and must be reciprocal... meaning, we have our part, and He does His! We cannot deny Christ 95% of the time, then expect Him to drop a check in your mail box... Not that I haven't seen that! But it's the hope and expectation of His intercession that comes from knowing Him! When You life for Him, then You know what He is capable of... and you also know at times No answer, or No movement is actually an answer all together! In that we must find solace! Cause I will say this... If it is His will, it will happen regardless of our desires. Meaning, we must be moving in His direction, preparing for a journey, possibly a flood, or a feast, or even a miracle! He sent His disciples out to the world, telling them to leave their stuff there, that He would provide for them! Go forth and make believers of men!

Go forth in life, your goals, your dreams and your seeking of the Lord... He'll be right next to You!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Punishment...

On a different note,

I have been reminded in the last day or two the weight of even the smallest decisions. The impact just the tiniest choice could make. Without Grace these decisions could be the ruin of Us, our relationships, and those lives of others. It is easy to stand back and assume how we'd handle it, but until You are put in any given situation it's not typically that easy. We are broken, faulty, & selfish by nature... it takes 24/7 focus to counteract this carnality. Which is seemingly an unrealistic task!
The Youtube confessor was sentenced today to 6.5 yrs for killing someone in a drunk driving accident. I've seen stories of people who have run red lights and took the lives of children. I myself was arrested for something I didn't do, but also did not make the best choice in the situation. Split second decisions, some with incredible ramifications. It seems to be society's way to want to take revenge, to refute, to embarrass, to cast out and squash these people. There is no Grace, Love, Forgiveness, Mercy or Understanding provided. There is a difference between punishment and retribution. Jesus was nailed to a cross for sharing the Good News of Salvation. Killed for speaking His heart on something that would be the Greatest gift ever given. We carry that same hatred and desire to hurt each other still today.
For me, the bad decisions I have made, there are many; have led me down the road of understanding Grace. My poor, selfish, & irresponsible decisions have hurt many people. I have seen the wreckage they've caused. We All have to live with our choices... but we all should try and take that into consideration before we bash others for their iniquities.
I've been to death row and saw the heart ache, pain, loneliness, and lowest level of human treatment. Yes, they deserve to be there, and Yes I deserve to reap what I sow, but I also had Grace and empathy in my heart... born of the Love of Christ who died for My sins! Instead of cursing me or judging me, He took the punishment for me that I might know True Love from our Father in Heaven. Again, I'm not saying we let people do as they wish with no repercussions... I'm saying we All make bad decisions, and we ALL should be trying to giving Grace to those around us. I will fail at this, but I know in my heart it is the right way for Us to live!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

In love...

On a different note,

Have You ever been so in love that you felt you couldn't live without them? That You couldn't breath without their presence? That life wouldn't exist in their absence? True love, sincere Love, and everlasting Love! This type of love has been given to us, a gift from the One who loves Us this much!! I find myself yearning for the Lord presence in my life so much, that I feel this way. It reassures me that I have an intimate relationship with Him, and that He reciprocates! The signs of a healthy relationship... one that can withstand the span of our life time!
Since we are emotional beings we can feel the influx of passion, love, excitement, but even anger, frustration and disappointment. For us to Love someone unconditionally, it would seem impossible... Days my wife and I are at odds, it takes the life from me... My drive is diminished, My focus is blurred, and my heart is aching. Until we reconnect, refocus, and renew our connection there is a void... but we work to keep that bond! and not allow circumstances to dictate the Love we share. This is a goal we should strive for in ALL our relationships... to Love sincerely, to work at it, to protect it, and to always seek to rebuild it in times of strife. You see, the Lord never leaves my side.. I make choices which remove myself from His presence. So, that means it's my responsibility to always go back and reconnect with Him!
On days that things aren't going my way... slow traffic, forgetting things at home, spilling coffee, disagreements, money issues, etc... these all take me down a road of self pity or anger. I'm not thinking of feeling very Godly in those moments! So, I must choose to come back and find the Love of the Lord. Think about it, if Anyone is going to take me away from this, and change my heart or even the situation, who can?
I am in Love with Jesus because of what He has already done and shown me in my life. He loves me when no one else could, He provided when no one else could, and He changed ME even when I tried and failed!
Once You learn the Love of the Lord it is then a road map for how to Love those in your life! We are emotional, thus Love for us wavers... for the Lord, who is Love, He never wavers! So, if your feeling a void, that's where You need to start!! He welcomes ALL!

Good day & God Bless!

Sincerity...

On a different note,

From a guy like me, it becomes so easy to be open and honest about grace, redemption and forgiveness... why, cause when you screw things up as much as I do, it becomes the norm...hehehe... In reality, the Lord has provided me a gift, one that we all have the opportunity to leverage. Although, it comes with responsibility. The Lord has lifted the veil so to speak, and I see the err of my ways consistently. He does this not to condemn me, but to help me grow. I am very emotional, passionate, and so for me I can get reactive if I am not in my right mind. This of course can get us into trouble... maybe a lil!
We know emotional some times leads to impulsive, which can have us buying stuff we don't need, or eating something we didn't want, or reacting to a person in a less than productive manner. Now, for all of us there are triggers, and certain scenario's which will be harder to navigate. Thus, God allows us to see these things as part of our sanctification... our transformation into His image. Its a gift, but also a hard pill to swallow!!
As we begin to walk with the Lord, we start to emulate Him... which is Amazing! So, as we become in "the know", but must be willing to be vulnerable, humble, transparent with ourselves and those around us. So, as much as at times I can be high maintenance, I must also be willing to crawl back to the Lord and those in my life in humility. Asking for forgiveness, after first being willing to apologize in all sincerity! You can't fake Love, You can't fake being a believers, and You can't fake being sincere! And why would You?
The things we receive from the Lord will be contrary to the world... Know this please! Being so called "weak" in the world is a curse, yet for God it brings power! It brings His love & intercession! There is Nothing more powerful the showing love, forgiveness, grace, mercy, etc in the face of anger, hate, pride, etc... We show we can lead, but putting others first (The first shall be last)... We show others Grace, by giving Grace when we don't want to!
I stand before you a broken man... but feeling solid in my core! I have been given a gift... the only way I can repay is to give it to others! Understanding this gift will change your view, your outlook, and allow You the opportunity to change the world You live!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Good habits...

On a different note,

Another Monday roles around, the confusion of the weekend ending and a new week starting is upon us... hehehe... Happy, sad, excited, and tired all seep into our minds. It's seems we're all working for the wknd, yet for me in general terms I am probably less productive in certain aspects. We are creatures of habit and routine, thus we seem to be more fruitful in a more structured environment. and typically our Monday through Friday is standard... You have a specific job, you do said job, and You know the boundaries. On the weekend, anything goes comparably.
This is not to say we cannot be productive on the weekend, but more of a personal reflection on the times I can infuse more value into the world around me. It is the acknowledgement of our make up that should lead us to growing, challenging and making better choices and habits. Personally, I like my routine, it makes me feel like I've actually accomplished something and gives me fulfillment in my day to day. Sometimes I look back and think I've wasted a couple days... knowing how valuable Time is!
I know the word "Habit" gets a bad rep in most circles, but for me it creates a much better way of living. I can look around and see some people who have a hard time managing their lives and things that go on. And I see things fall through the cracks, or opportunities missed. We must be prepared and ready to take on challenges as they arise... and they will! As we've spoken before, life is a constant ebb and flow. So, If my life is in discord or disarray, a small hurdle will seem like a Mountain!!
This sentiment is one of the reasons I seek the Lord and allow Him to lead. That I might be fruitful in my choices, and follow His path versus a random one in the world. If I allow Him to lead, then my endeavors will be productive and fruitful, and having His hand in it!! Now that is a recipe for winning!! hehehe

Stop and take a look around... are you wasting day, hours, or more? Are you allowing things to fall through the crack? Are you ready for the next valley? Create routines, stop to analyze your current state, and follow a path that was created just for you by asking for the Lord's intercession!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Roar...

On a different note,

I always found it so amusing the way we truly emulate the animal kingdom... We walk around with our chests poked out, like we're fearless, and that we can conquer the world. Yet, the first baby or cute animal picture that pops up on FB we're putty! Hehehe... And in all honesty, that part is more reflective of the truth, and is probably the way we should be carrying ourselves. For some reason people confuse being sincere, nice, or caring as weakness. Its like we're so scared of what everyone is thinking. Imagine the difference it could make if we took on the spirit of LOVE. Like really committed to it!
Weakness in the Bible equates to understanding our role in this world. Understanding that if we put down our walls, and live in Love that God will watch out for us. The concept most carry to creating their own destiny, makes them feel they have to keep their guard up. For me, after you've been through so many valleys, clinging only to your faith.. then you learn the true value of humility.
We can go through this life acting like we don't need help, like we've got it under control, or admit how weak we are in general and seek divine intervention. Listen, He created us, He desires to provide for us, and He is there anyway!!This is realistically one of the reasons most Churches are filled with women. Women do not fall prey to PRIDE as much as men! Hunter/Gatherer... hehehe... Men are created to provide, to hunt, and to be strong, but this should not preclude them from having a soft heart. Being humble, sincere and loving does not make you a push over. It means, I Love & trust the Lord to direct my path, that I won't need to act like King Kong! The leaders within our society need to remember the impact, reflection and influence they have. So many are looking to them for direction... I say, Look to the Lord and He shall light your way! He's proven it for thousands of years. He commands we LOVE above All else!! So, start there!!
So, we can walk around like we're bullet proof, or we can acknowledge the need for intercession. We are breakable, we do require Grace, and it is ours for the asking! Pride only leads to a darker, lonelier and empty road to no where!! Choose Life, Choose Love, and stand firm in your Faith!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Priority...

On a different note,

As we know, this world can get pretty crazy! Always something going on, always something more important, and of course never enough time! This seems par for the course for most of us. But how can that be? Well, we have transformed into a society that is based on constant stimulation, and as many inputs as we can physical get into our systems. Honestly, we are over loading our lives, bodies and senses to the point of exhaustion. So, how do we manage this life?
I'm sure like most teenagers, or twenty somethings procrastination was pretty much normal. I would imagine because most things at that time didn't carry much value. It was more obligatory. Ergo, the idea of actually prioritizing the things in our life was realistically not gonna happen. But as we mature, this aspect has to change in order for us to be productive and fruitful.
Call it what You will... time management, prioritization, and so on... bottom line is, you have to manage your life to be productive. And how do we do that? Based on value! What is important to You? What is important on the success of your daily life? Eating, drinking water, paying bills... well, those are easy!! But what about the rest?
Some people say, I don't have time to work out... when studies say 20 mins a few days a week is sufficient. Some don't have time to pray or spend time with the Lord... yet, You can do it 24/7 without anyone ever knowing. Committing time to the family, friendships or hobbies... Work will Be there today, tomorrow and so on whether your the one pulling strings or not!! Don't get caught up!
These were just a few examples... I am not you, but I suggest You get a handle on what is important in your life. I would say, that relationships will have the biggest affect on your life regardless of age. Kids, spouses, partners, friends, family and the Lord All require investment and reciprocation! ALL! We MUST commit to investing in the world we live... making time for the important, fruitful, productive things.
We have a choice... we must make that choice towards the things which will grow, inspire, enrich and provide for our lives today, tomorrow and down the road!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Artist?

On a different note,

Today I find myself reminiscing over the thankfulness of having a voice. Of not only having the ability to sing, but the opportunity. As I travel down this road of music, for me it is Art. Whether by vocal interpretation or by writing and telling a story with my lyrics. I find it empowering, humbling and rewarding...
It's pretty funny, as I have never called myself a musician, or an artist, never mind a guitarist (I play some acoustic). But it seems as of late by launching my original work, that I have taken on that role and perspective. I guess because I am humbled so much by it, and I look at it as a blessing, that it takes on a different view from the inside. I feel the Lord brought me into music, he provides the words, the opportunities and such... thus, me taking on a title doesn't quite fit. It's an absolute honor for me to be creating and performing! And to have people gravitate to it, and be encouraged for & by it is amazing... Truly only reassures me that it isn't about me!
I empathize with the world we live, and for my fellow brothers & sisters in this society! It's like I crave for them to find an identity... to find the path, the gifts, their place in the body of Christ. Not just for salvation, but for the feeling of fulfillment and fruit. To find worth on a level higher than this crazy world we live! Life is easy to get lost in... we must choose to stop and reflect. In that reflection is where we can hear Him, feel Him, and allow His leading! Else, we're pushing forward through life waiting for the wknd!!
We All have gifts, we all have abilities, and we All have a voice! What does your life reflect? What do you infuse in the world you live?
I am thankful to be an artist, not because of the product but because of the message, the fruit, the affects that it can have in this place. I am thankful to have a voice, and the desire to be creative, and follow the leading of the Lord. He has a plan for me, which could end up not being music... either way, this journey is incredible and I cherish each second of it!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Who's #1...

On a different note,

This weekend I am fortunate to be playing the Full Moon Saloon on Main St. in Daytona for Biketoberfest. This is an incredible honor and I am thankful for the continued opportunities. I see the Lord working in my life, in my Family, and in my music. And I will admit that I do not only give Him the credit, the Glory, but the control. Meaning, If music is not where He wants me, then I would ask Him to remove me and re-direct my path. When You find fulfillment in something as powerful as the Lord, most other aspects seem menial in comparison. And I am wise enough to know now that His path is paved in gold, and When I was living for ME it wasn't not so Joyous. I think we forget His desires are for us to be loved, content, fulfilled, fruitful and so on... We're not supposed to live under a rock... But we mustn't place things in our life on a higher priority than Him, thus being willing to walk away from it all if called to... IF called to!
So, often I hear people speak about believers, or even seeking God and allowing themselves to believe. Speaking as if they have to give everything up, or live a boring life. Trust me, that is far from the truth! There are hundreds of passages on dancing, singing, and being joyous!! Again, it's keeping out lives in perspective!!
After the years of struggling, and then the years of being grown by the Lord, did I realize the magnitude of giving it all up for Him! I started noticing that things that were weird, or came across as contrary to society were exactly things I should be conscious of. These were messages from the Lord... Being humbled, broken, and admitting weakness... Only made me stronger in Him! Giving up material desires, most of them, allowed me to cherish what I had and Not have to carry the wright of it all. Putting others first, and being sacrificial as the Lord was only made my life more fruitful and fulfilling!
My Life would NOT be what it is today with out divine intervention... I know it 100%! So, why do I stand out in my Faith? Cause we ALL can have this same fulfillment!! Daily choice to seek Him... He will enrich Your life and you don't have to live like Mr. Rogers! He is #1, the rest is menial!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Thirsty...

On a different note,

Have you ever stopped to ponder the amount of the word "Water" used in our common vocabulary? You hear it in regards to the weather, the health benefits, its affect on the world around us, and so on. We are made up of like 80% water, the world is covered by 70 or 80% water, and it has a daily impact on our lives. Yet, it kinda slides under the radar, and I believe it deserves even more credit!
I personally drink quite a bit of water, it has become a staple in my life and I definitely see many benefits to it. Think about it... most of water we do daily or physically is expending water. Sweating, going to the bathroom, or it flushing out the bad stuff within our internal systems. Very important to our day to day lives. Hence why I am so shocked when I hear how much water people DON'T typically drink. I think the recommended amount is like 9 or 10 cups a day... to me, that is Minimal!! If we know our body cannot live or function without it... Why are we avoiding it? Shoot, for me as a singer, I cannot live without it! Hydration is what will save you from hang overs, dry throats, joint aches, head aches, and so on.
As much as physical water has such an incredible impact, I am reminded of the Living water that I also would be nothing without. The Lord provides us living water, His spirit, His words, His Love, His Grace, and much more. Scripture speaks of the living water being Poured out into Us, those who seek Him! Those who desire Him in their life will be filled! As we look around we see so many temporal fulfillment's, and None can compare to spiritual revitalization! Just like working out, we are invigorated by water!
Our spiritual walk must be sustained by living water! By the daily renewal of our hearts towards the Provider in our Savior. We need physical water to survive, and we need Living water to Live in this world. We can then pour our love into those around us!
Think about it, I'f I am running on empty in this world, how can I invest in the world I live and those around Me? The Lord provides, that we might pass it on! Drink your water, it will change your physical life immediately! Allow the Lord into your heart, seek Him, and let Him fill you!! Then pass it on!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Hope...

On a different note,

Trust me when I say I know exactly how defeating, hard, lonely, and frustrating life can be! I swear I spent my entire young adult hood wondering "What the heck did I do to deserve that!?!"... It's easy to sit back and say "You'll be fine" when Your not the one going through it! And I do not sit here and write to you as If I think anything otherwise! I have literally thwarted death multiple times, lost all my possessions more than once, been flat broke with no money to eat, and so on... This is Not for sympathy but to let you know I understand.
If You'll notice what I do stick to... that is the understanding that life is hard, the acknowledgement of that, which at least keeps us in the aware state of mind. And by also knowing others struggle every single day, and make it through their trials is another sign to cling to. What I have learned is Hope... Hope means to expect... seems to be taken out of context at times, more siding with despair then positive expectation. But that's probably because its when we are most desperate, we should be trusting and hoping (Expecting) this to pass! Even if right this second You do not believe in God, He believes in You! He has a plan for Your life, whether YOU are willing to walk that path or not... Ergo, the deficiency lies in You walking Your own path... He will allow you to do as such, but YOU will deal with the repercussions of it. When we align ourselves with Him... and I mean, create a relationship. We now allow Him to intercede on our behalf... (Here's where Hope comes in!) We know can rely on His promises... i.e. I will not forsake You, I will not allow You to go through anything YOU cannot handle with Out Me, I will be there with You!
We must endure the trials of this life, because its the world we live... but we do have a choice to live it alone and Hopeless... leaving it to chance or randomness... Or, we can follow the One who created it! Life is Hard, You will go through trials, but You do Not have to go through it expecting the worst!

Choose to have the Lord by Your side through You Victories and failures... He's gonna love You either way!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Created Equal...

On a different note,

GOOD MORNING!! Hehehe... Those of you who have actually spent time around me, would probably hate me in the morning!! I am a morning person... ok, probably an evening person too! For me, it's honestly a reflection of opportunity... I have the opportunity today to start over, to be a better man than I was yesterday, and who knows what amazing things will happen today!
My life has changed drastically since finding my Faith... It has allowed me the chance to let go of worrying, to focus on what is in front of me! To live right now and make choices which will have lasting affects. Haven't we all met people with bad attitudes? And haven't we seen the damage that is done by this... or how their lives are always in the dumps. The funny thing is, we all have ups & downs... every day! It's how we handle them... it's how we perceive them! I have chosen to not be a stick in the mud, but to see the positive... see the Good in life, and see the beautiful in others! We are all created equal... equal in the areas that matter! Think about that!!!
We don't look the same on the outside... No two of us are alike 100%... so, how are we equal? Our spirits are created in the image of our Father. We have a soul, and free will just the same... We ALL have the opportunity to make the big choices in this life... to Love or Hate... to Serve the world, or Our Heavenly Father! I'm not getting religious on you, just making my point! As I said earlier... I am who I am today because of the Love I received from the Lord.
So, each day I have to get up and renew this vow... this choice! We ALL have to decide how we want our life to go. We will fail, we will have heart ache... but we are all created the same in the important areas! Choose to Love... Love people, Love Life, Love the Lord!! And watch your entire attitude change!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Rest...

On a different note,

I find myself coming out of a haze today... hehehe... being under the weather is never a fun thing, and for a guy like Me... even the down time can be considered as unproductive. But I find faith in the fact that we require rest. We need quiet time, down time, and alone time. It provides us time for reflection, decision making, contemplation, and time to receive. Jesus went out into the dessert for 40 days... a time for Him to prepare for the road ahead!
As I am also big on health and working out, I have learned rest is a major component in our daily lives. There was a day I refuted it, and denied the need for down time. I would work out daily for 1.5 hours, and never skip a day. I had to fill every waking moment with something! It wasn't til years of Not achieving my goals that I realized I was doing too much! How funny, the thought of Over working and Not meeting a goal! Very Ironic!
But this was very true... I needed to be wiser, more thought out, and not just running off my own energy. Once I slowed down, things began to be more clear, and decisions became more specific, and goals were then being met with less true energy being spent. WISDOM!! Thank You Jesus!! hehehe
We cannot achieve a goal with out knowing the plan... We cannot align ourselves with our destiny unless we're ok with listening to the creator!! Our bodies need time to rest, to heal, and to be replenished... as do our minds, hearts and souls! So, instead of letting myself get anxious over the un-productivity the last couple days, I will be Thankful for the rest!! And know, I probably needed it... ok ok, I DID need it!!

Be willing to stop and take some time to think... or just rest... we are not unbreakable, and we are typically not the best at running our lives in Reactionary mode!! Be Well!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Who ya with...

On a different note,

The weekend is here, and outside of any shows it's time to determine how to spend our time. Something I remember not doing a very good job at in my younger years, was choosing who to invest my time in. As we've talked about before, time is the most valuable commodity we have. It fades quickly, and we cannot get it back! Thus, we better make sure we're using it wisely!!
I can look back and see people in my life that seemed to of drained more energy, than provided. This of course doesn't mean they were bad people, or not worthy, it more reflect the sentiment of reciprocation. No relationship can survive without "Reciprocation"... Two sides investing in the bond. So, with time being of the essence, we should be wise in who... and how we navigate our relationships.
When I surround myself with sacrificial friends, ones who sincerely care about my well being... it is invigorating!! Never mind me getting around people who actually understand LOVE and the Lord's desires for our lives. It lifts me up emotionally & spiritually! Positive reciprocation!! WOO HOO!! LOVE IT, Need it, Want it!!
But there is the other side, and this post is a call to awakening for all of us! We must make the choice as well to be a good spouse, friend, family member in order to expect our relationship to be fruitful! We are all planting seeds, and people around us are planting seeds... by which the Lord, and His love can grow in to the communities we reside. Choose to lift others up, and surround yourself with people who truly care and are willing & able to invest in You! If not, you will feel depleted, drained, empty, lonely, and so on... this in turn will affect your physical being, mental state, and spiritual journey!
We must arise each day with a new focus, new plan of action, and with Love in our hearts! It is absolutely infectious, and it should be important! Time is NOW... Live life, and enjoy it!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Creativity...

On a different note,

Close yours eyes, and try not to think of anything for a few seconds... allow your mind to clear... Then open up again and watch your mind jump into action, like watching a movie unfold before your eyes. I view creativity in a similar manner... the ability to let go, and let the emotions, the vibe, the energy, and the organic underlying sentiment flow. Sounds a lil bizarre I know, but it is one example of how to find that peaceful place of transparency. Whether spiritually or artistically, it is not always easy for some to get to the place of euphoria. To be honest, it is a place of vulnerability, thus fear can be a hurdle to get to this state of being.
Some people have an easier time transposing emotion to the outside world... whether through art, music, writing, speaking or just simply sharing. It is something which has to be cultivated... Like having Faith... Doesn't happen over night!
I can look back in my life, times when opening up wasn't so easy. But I also remember challenging myself to drop my wall of defensiveness, frustration, close minded-ness, and so on... By nature we all have walls... it is consciousness that will help us over come this! As in my walk with the Lord it took time to grow my Faith... to go through valleys in order to see His hand in my life. From an artistic perspective, think of the game Pictionary. I've seen people play the game, and when it's their turn to guess they wait to guess til the drawing is complete... in Brainstorming, it is suggested to free flow... let er rip! Guesses lead our brain to new guess, and connections, experiences throughout our lives begin to come forth... By closing off that path of openness, we are hindering the progression. It is similar in our creativity and our faith... We typically close it off right when it's about to be fruitful!
I implore you to be conscious of your fear... make the choice to be open, transparent with your self and allow Your creative side to be utilized in your everyday life. Allow your faith to flourish by putting down walls, and stepping out with sincere trust & belief!! We all have it in Us, it's our choice to leverage it!!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris

Which way...

On a different note,

Last night I was back in the studio... for a singer/songwriter is pretty much paradise! The opportunity to write and tell a story, the opportunity to use my voice, and even bigger the opportunity to share my heart! I do believe God has a path for all of Us, and most of the time we only see it looking backwards. We can look back and see His hand, re-directing, preparing, and growing us to be fruitful in our endeavors. Of course this requires Us to be aware, willing and responsive to His leading.
I spent most of my adult life feeling sorry for myself, only living for Me, and not wanting responsibility. I was making choices based on my personal gain, goals and desires. Which is exactly what we are taught to do via society. And after years of struggling, failing, falling, and being defeated, I fell to my knees. I couldn't handle the weight of the world any longer! I was unsuccessful and unfruitful on my own... I seemed to only be able to find the down side of Life versus the Mountain top. This is when the Lord awakened me!
There is a path laid out for us, one of serving, sacrifice, selflessness, but one of power, Love, grace, influence, and intercession! You see, we have the choice to follow the path of our Father... one already thought out... planned out... and created specifically for us! Or, we can continue to live for ourselves and fight through the world on our own.
A cleared path of Love... Hmmm... or we could cut our own path through this concrete jungle... stepping in holes, trying to cut through vines and brush, not seeing a future due to the collapsing walls around us. Trust me when I say, this decision is Not easy! It goes against our carnal nature and opposite of what the world would advise. Which wisdom should tell us is exactly where we should be! We are Not sheep, We have free will, and we know there is someone who created us in His image. SO, why do we fight so hard for a life filled with hate, anger, emptiness, loneliness and despair?

Seek out the path made for You... He's waiting for Your call!!

Good day, God Bless!

Dose of Reality...

On a different note,

An interesting observation... but if You look around, the majority of the population tends to fit in just a couple categories. Either those who dream Too Big, or Not at all!! Goals sustain our motivation and drive as we navigate this mundane world... hehehe
We must set goals, objectives and yes even follow some dreams! We must also be realistic in our approach and spend the time to define and evaluate. Having a plan, allows for a path and opportunity to truly succeed... If YOU spend the time to discern and create a road map, then it is not random any more!! Sitting back waiting on God or the world to provide Your dreams is pretty much hilarious! Look at it like this, are You ready for a miracle? Are you prepared to care for Your dream? Are You ready to sacrifice for Your goals? The easy answer is yes! The hard part is doing it, persevering through trials and failure, and keeping your eye on the prize... NO is NOT an Answer!
I will be honest in saying something I learned was to truly step back and determine the reality of the objective, and there will require spiritual intercession. I can say without a doubt that God has brought me to where I am at... Hands down! I spent years pushing towards a goal that was Not in His plan... but Once I aligned myself with His will, things changed drastically. God will provide for Us if we are in line with His will... So, that is something I cannot waiver on any more! I seek Him, ask for His hand, His Will to be Done, and His power as I move forward! To Open & Close doors!!
We are ALL wanting fulfillment while on this earth... God instills desires in our hearts, but without Him to help translate, we can get off track. Don't let Your goal over take Your life, or become an Idol, but allow it to motivate You to new Heights. Remember, If God is behind You, no one can stop You!
I am a dreamer, I am willing to step out of the box, and I do not allow worldly hurdles to defeat me! I seek God, ask for His intercession, I work at my goal, and I keep setting new milestones to accomplish!

Plan, Do & Act! GO!

Good day & God Bless,
Chris
